General Information: Skating classes are 45 minutes long. Hockey classes are 50 minutes long. There is a 10% discount for each additional family member and a 10% discount for mutiple classes in the same session. Each skater must pay a one-time annual insurance fee of $35. There is a family max of $75.
Daily Procedure: Skaters should arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled class time to gear up and be ready. Skaters should check in at the reception desk at the beginning of each class for attendance. On the first day, skaters will receive their nametags for their helmets and class assignments.
Attire: Single blade hockey or figure skates are required for skating classes. All sizes of hockey and figure skates are available to rent for only $5.00. Helmets are required for all children (bicycle or ski helmets are acceptable). Skaters should wear comfortable and warm clothing (snow pants are great) and it’s important to wear gloves or mittens. Full hockey equipment is required for hockey classes. (Hockey Helmet, Elbow Pads, Shin Pads, Hockey Pants, Shoulder Pads, Hockey Gloves & Stick)
Public Skating: All students enrolled in a FIA class will receive free admission to our public skate sessions so that they can practice their skills and make up for any classes that they may miss. Free public skating admission is only valid during the duration of your class session. Each student must check in at the front desk so we can confirm that you are currently enrolled in classes. This privilege is for Public Skating only and DOES NOT apply to Sticks & Pucks.
Make up Policy: There are NO make ups for skating classes. Please take advantage of your practice pass to make up classes that you miss. Hockey classes are allowed one make up class which must be used for a 3v3 class.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be in writing in order to be processed. If you need to cancel for any reason you will be issued a credit. You will be charged for the classes that have occurred whether or not you attended in addition to a $25 cancellation fee.
Inclement Weather Policy: We are open for classes unless we lose power or they declare a state of emergency. If we are closed, we will send you an e-mail and it will be posted on our website.
